Overnight Nurse
Responsibilities
-
Monitoring inpatients including large and small animals and critical care patients
-
Caring for inpatients including feeding, walking and grooming
-
Placing intravenous catheters and fluid maintenance
-
Administering drugs and injections
-
Assisting with after-hours visits including emergency surgeries and anaesthetics
-
Undertaking diagnostic tests including x-rays
-
Maintain and ensure the effective running of the hospital after hours
Requirements
-
Registration as a vet nurse in WA
-
Minimum 2 years experience but we will look at less for the right applicant
-
Ability to provide high-quality care and monitoring for hospital and critical care patients including horses and farm animals
-
Must be able to work independently and within a team situation

Ability to communicate effectively with staff
-
Be able to work well under pressure/stressful situations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Full-time Small Animal Veterinarian Required
West Coast Veterinary Hospital is calling for applicants for a full-time small animal veterinarian commencing February 2023.
We are seeking an energetic and caring small animal veterinarian to join our growing team at West Coast Veterinary Hospital. Our state-of-the-art hospital is located in Forrestdale, WA, 20 mins south of the CBD. West Coast Veterinary Hospital is a purpose-built veterinary hospital that opened in January 2017, we currently employ over 50 staff. Our clinic is a great place to work, with low staff turnover and an exciting and varied caseload.
Our caseload is 55% small animals, 40% equine and 5% farm animals. We have three spacious operating theatres, three small animal consulting rooms, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, digital radiography, MRI and ultrasonograhy facilities.
The available position will be required to provide veterinary care for small animals. Whilst the ability to see other species would be well-regarded, it is not a requirement in this instance.
The successful applicant ideally should have:
· Minimum of 1 year experience, however a new graduate will be considered.
· Exceptional customer service skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent time management and organisational skills.
· The ability to register as a Veterinarian in Western Australia
